HELLO lovely Africa team! Looks like you all had an incredible day of fun on the dunes.

Sheena, I HOPE you were the first one up that sucker. I was rooting for you. It looks like a beast. And you look like you pretty much owned that quad. I'm so happy that you are in Africa right now, you have no idea. (and I will admit, I am a bit more than slightly jealous as well). And I was thinking about how much fun you are having already, and I can't wait for updates once ministry starts. Looks like you have a strong team, and I know you are there for a reason (other than Court randomly asking you one day during our lovely summer work <3). I'm praying for you and you are in my thoughts continuously. I love you!

Kaleigh--THIS IS MY TIME TO ENCOURAGE YOU!!! You look like you are loving it, don't miss a minute of opportunity! Way to rep our condo :]

PE & Julie! I miss you both, but it looks like you are having such a good time as well. So glad you were able to go Julie-- what an amazing opportunity. And points go to you, PE, for Sheena pictures :] keep them coming!!

COURTNEY LIEN!! my love, I miss you. Not that it's much different if you are 1.5 hours or 20 hours on a plane away from me because I haven't seen you nearly often enough lately, but. I was just listening to Imogen Heap and thought of you :] I know, you're still waiting on those emails. Oh, and I just thought I'd let you know that I am sending Green Tea vibes your way. So you can be refreshed & be amazing. Crazy girl, it's a month & a day until your wedding!!!!!! Live it up love :]

I'm praying for you all as a team (even though I don't know you all). That you are encouraged by the beauty, passion, and love that will surround you during ministry. That your heart breaks with love for the people that you are reaching out to. That your bodies are strong, and your spirits stronger. That you don't hold back and use everything that God has blessed each one of you with. I'm praying for big things for you as a team as well as the communities you are in.

Can't wait to read & see more, my heart, mind, and prayers are with you.

THANK YOU! For all the awesome pictures brother dear. So incredible to see all your smiling faces... especially my handsome son! Loved the picture on top of the dune with your big feet!
Praying for God's favor as you meet with people today and get settled at NAMTI to begin your ministry. Can't wait to see what God has in store this week. I pray that He will rock your world!
Love ya ... Mama

Chris Young,

I'm impressed with your undertaking such an adventure. You make Troop 431 proud. The experiences you encounter during this mission will sustain you for years to come. Try to take it all in, absorbing the most minute details. "When men are animated by the charity of Christ, they feel united, and the needs, sufferings, and joys of others are felt as their own." (Pope John XXXIII) God bless you, your companions, and the work you'll do during your mission.

Peace,
Mr. McDevitt

Luke 9:1-3 says, "Jesus now called the Twelve and gave them authority and power to deal with all the demons and cure diseases. He commissioned them to preach the news of God's kingdom and heal the sick. He said, 'Don't load yourselves up with equipment. Keep in simple; YOU ARE THE EQUIPMENT.'" When I read that, it totally made me think of you guys. YOU ARE THE EQUIPMENT and he sent you to Africa to preach the good news of Jesus Christ. He has equipped each one of you to do something no one else can for HIM! Allow Him to use YOU--His equipment--in a new way today. Prayin for you as you start your ministry! LOVE LOVE LOVE Jeanette

PS - Great pix! Makes me miss Namibia even worse :(
