Friday Highlights (part 1)

Just a quick update -

We're only halfway through the day, yet we've been so busy! We've done two primary school assemblies, two high school assemblies, hospital visits, street canvassing, and a visit to the hostels where the students live (many parents must send their kids hundreds of kilometers away to go to school since there is nothing in their area).

The team is a bit tired but doing well, and still having so much fun together. They have had to be very flexible with program, assignment, and schedule changes, but they have really risen to the challenge!

Right now, everyone is relaxing while we have some down time. In about an hour, we will be spending time at the Joy Center, which is always a blessing for them AND for us as well. They have truly become friends in the last few years, and it's been an honor to partner with them. We will be giving them all the donations you sent along (school supplies, clothing, cooking supplies, bedding, money, and more!), so I am sure they will be thrilled! I can't wait to report back about it. I will do my best to post more pictures tonight!

Love and gratitude,

Pastor Courtney

OH how I miss the parachute! Great pix...keep em comin Court! Funny thing - I found a piece of paper in my Bible from last year's trip (6:30am Karundu Primary School) with the songs and skit assignments...so awesome...it made me so excited knowing you guys are experiencing those wonderful things RIGHT NOW!!

Acts 17:27-28 says, "(God made every nation) so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though HE IS NOT FAR FROM EACH OF US. For in Him we live and move and have our BEING."

Don't you just LOVE that? You are LIVING, MOVING, and HAVING YOUR BEING in HIM right now. That is so cool. And through that amazing truth, people in Namibia are going to reach out for Him and FIND HIM! How awesome is our God??

Praying for you guys right now!

LOVE LOVE LOVE Jeanette

Courtney,

Are you REALLY GETTING MARRIED? Are you trying to get me cranked up here? Tell me the truth...........

Am I invited? Is this gonna cost me any money? If it is really in a month, is it ok if I combine your birthday gift and wedding gift together? If the answer to that is yes......Can I do the same in subsequent years with birthday and anniversary gifts?

Love,

Dad

Africa Team -- it is great to see the pics and hear the stories of how God is using you to touch so many people. Praise Him for the saved souls! May you find the strength to carry on. Spread the fire of the Holy One!

Home front -- weather is cold and raining. No relief in sight. they are calling for snow on Sunday.

The Dodgers just tied the NLCS. Back in Philly on Sunday. Hope they don't have to cancel cause of snow.

In Christ's Love,
Jeff.

PS. Chris -- be glad you are there because it is raining at the Wilson/Reading High football game. You won't have to do soggy pushups! God bless you son!

Sixth, you'll have to try it. Seventh, I miss your laugh. Eighth, I wrote my notes in cursive when I thought of you today. Ninth, I'm excited for your wedding! Tenth, it's cold and drizzly, part 2 hear in PA. Eleventh, yes, that spelling error was for Peter. Twelfth, I don't EVEN know girl. But I wanted to get to Thirtieth, THIS MANY DAYS TILL YOUR WEDDING!!!

HELLO SHEEEEEEEENA. I love you too.

And I'm praying tons thinking of you all tons. Sounds like you had a super busy and awesome day today (yesterday?). I can imagine that some amount of being tired is creeping into your mind, and the weariness is creeping into your bodies. I'm praying about that.

Julie and Courtney,
You crazy girls! I know you both are bringing joy to countless numbers of people. Julie, don't worry about your babies (puppy included) or your students. God has them on protective lockdown. Courtney, enjoy every moment in that African sun.
May God soften the hardest of hearts and light the darkest of places, being "filled to the fullness of God" as you live life in Africa.

Hug the kids extra tight for me,
Andrea
