Photos from Wednesday and Thursday

Hello to all our loved ones and our extended church family!

Wow – what an incredible day of ministry yesterday! We spent the afternoon playing with the children from the Cheshire Home where we are staying. The Cheshire Home is a Catholic mission for children with physical disabilities. It is very difficult for students with physical disabilities to get around in Africa, and often they are not able to attend schools since they are typically not handicap accessible, and other students are not very accepting. The Cheshire Home provides schooling and physical therapy and a place where they can be loved and accepted. Several students have been able to get prosthetics and various surgeries to help them walk again and get full functioning of their bodies. Other children have simply learned to adapt to their disability with incredible and inspiring strength. One boy was born without legs and with only one arm, and it was remarkable to watch him get around and play football with Rob. The children were such a blessing to us. Ray went through about half of his stash of balloons, I think, and they loved him for it. The rest of the team played soccer and football and made paper airplanes. Such a great afternoon!

In the evening we went to a village and prayed with people in their homes. Many of the people were interested in hearing the gospel and accepted Christ. Others wanted prayer for physical healing and God's provision. It was such a special evening, even though it stretched each of us.

This morning we had our devotions on the Zambezi River – such a peaceful moment. Rob, our adventurous one, was ecstatic when Mark let him go in the river (despite my fear of crocodiles and hippos :). Eventually we all ventured in, even if it was just our toes!

This afternoon, we will be ministering at an orphanage called the Children of Zion, followed by another evening outreach.

I'll let the team share their personal stories in more depth! That's all for now!

All our love from around the world,

Courtney and the team
