Thursday

Greetings all you amazingly supportive friends!

Yesterday afternoon we visited the Children of Zion home (for orphaned children). It's a wonderful home run by the sweetest couple. You can check out their website here: tlcinhisservice.org

At the home, we held a program for the kids and then had some time to play volleyball with the older students and make balloons for the younger students. They were precious – we could have stayed there all night!

We were planning to do another village outreach, but plans fell through. It turned out to be a blessing though, because we had so much to prepare for camp this weekend. We are not just running the camp – we are training Namibian adults how to run a Kid's Camp and training children how to minister. We will be doing workshops, teaching the children puppets, dance (me, teaching hip-hop???), drama, and object lessons using magic tricks and balloon art. It's a really empowering approach. Typically, ministry is reserved for adults, but Mark is passionate about teaching kids that they can minister too!

Tonight is our first service. Jaime will be teaching the memory verse, Brian will be sharing a story, Ray will be teaching an object lesson, Rob and Brenda will be helping with the praise songs, and Brian, Ray and Rob will be leading the games.

We will let you know how it goes!

Thank you for your prayers and comments – they mean so much to us!

Hi Team!

It's great to see pictures and hear the testimonies! I praise God for all that He is doing in and through you during this trip. I know it is challenging... lack of sleep+strange food+heat and humidity+ministry, etc. etc. all makes for an interesting combination :) But God is with you and He is working even when you may not even know.

You've traveled thousands of miles to minister to people you do not know. Even your presence there speaks volumes. People will realize that you are there for a reason, and when you share that reason, they will listen. Praise God!

Enjoy Victoria Falls tomorrow... one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World! It is breathtaking... let it take your breath away.

Have a blessed evening and a good rest tonight.

Love,
Melissa
