ooh there's this girl in my small group and she's super smart, but that's besides the point, but she knows all these random facts and pulls them out of nowhere during our group time but they're really interesting though...for example we were talking about beavers (I don't know how we got on that topic but anyways)and supposedly how they used to be bigger than bears, and then she randomly blurts out that sloths used to be 15ft tall (ridiculous, i know!!),and she even got a picture next to one in a museum) ...anyways I wanted to tell you that because I was immediately reminded of you and all your random facts...best part yet...she's from Canada woo!! haha not that you care, but I'm just throwing it out there.
*******
Anyways, you all are on your way to Africa which is ridiculous! I'm really excited for you all and I know that God has something phenonenal planned; it never fails.
I don't know if this verse is relevant or anything, but I've learned to love it so I'm sending it anyway because it's so good.
Romans 12:11-13 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Share with God's people who are in need
I love you all! Be amazing...give God glory...Love on His people...be humble and be led by His word
yo court im happy that u never loose ur sence of randomness. i just wish i was able to be there to experience it. just know that i am praying for all of you guys and look forward to reading the blog everyday and commenting everyday possible. love u all!!!!! praying!
William Booth, the great evangelist was so adamant about having everyone spread the gospel.
'Not called!' did you say? I think you should say, 'Not heard the call.' Put your ear down to the Bible, and hear Him bid you go and pull sinners out of the fire of sin. Put your ear down to the burdened, agonized heart of humanity, and listen to its pitiful wail for help. Go stand by the gates of hell, and hear the damned entreat you to go to their father's house and bid their brothers and sisters, and servants and masters not to come there. And then look Christ in the face, whose mercy you have professed to obey, and tell him whether you will join heart and soul and body and circumstances in the march to publish his mercy to the world. "
Thank you for not just hearing the call, but putting faith in it and stepping out.
It's seems so cliche to say that you will come back a different person. Yet, I look forward to the changes, the strength, the renewed zeal and passion for Christ.
May the rest of us feel the urgency of the call in our own "world".
so. i went to bed last night, woke up, and thought about how you guys were still on the plane to Senegal. I'm sure that it was a long flight, but it seems that court spiced it up :] hopefully you all are safely landed now, taking in the completely different world all around you. I'm praying for you guys-- for health, energy, and passion. I'm so excited to see what you guys do!! love you all so much (shoutout to maurice, day 1)
