dunes and down the slopes, it looked like the dessert stretched on forever,
and then out of nowhere, the brilliant blue ocean appeared beyond the peak
of the dunes. Breath-taking. Definitely a Kodak moment :) In case you were
wondering, Dot was a maniac on the sand dunes, zipping around with the
"fast" group! Pastor Eran was like a little kid at Christmas, eating up the
adventure and going as fast as possible without passing our guide.
Climbing Dune 7 was one of the greatest team building moments ever. I'm
happy to report that 18 of our team members made it to the top! It was quite
a workout, but we pushed one another and cheered everyone on. I'm pretty
sure everyone who set out to make it to the top pressed on until they made
it. I can't describe the feeling of accomplishment when you get to the top
and look down, realizing how high and steep it was (about a quarter of a
mile at quite an incline).
We went to dinner at the most amazing restaurant! It was an old tug boat
that had been turned into a restaurant right on the beach, and we sat at a
table surrounded by windows as we watched the sun set over the ocean! So
beautiful!
This morning we ministered at the Potter's Wheel A/G in Walvis Bay, where
Patsy gave such a great testimony/mini-sermon based on her experience on
Dune 7 (that girl can preach!). After service, we traveled back to NAMTI
Bible College (which kinda feels like we're returning to our second home),
stopping at the beach along the way.
It was a great day, and tomorrow will be even better - we're spending the
day on safari where we'll see lots of elephants, giraffes, zebras, and
more! We're really hoping to see a lion and black rhino, but both are really
rare. Can't wait to post pictures from our adventure.
Thanks again for your prayers. Everyone on the team is feeling healthy and
refreshed from this weekend. We're sad that we only have 2 more days of
ministry, but ready to come home and be with our loved ones!
Love and gratitude,
*Pastor Courtney and the team

Hey! It's been awesome following all of your experiences through the blog site (See Pastor Eran-- I even figured out how to post messages, aren't you proud of me!). I have been praying for your team every day and it's been just amazing seeing how God is working through each of you during this trip.
A special note to Staci-- We can't wait to see you and hear about all of the life-changing experiences you've had. And, since you are coming home soon, that just means that November 10 is getting closer and we'll officially be co-workers! Yeah!
Many blessings,
Karen
